Kyb Fugfugosh is a self-described kid from Somalia, who moved to Manhattan Beach, California where he wrestled in college and internationally. However, after suffering a neck injury, Kyb found his new passion in renewable energy, specifically solar energy in East Africa - he was coming full circle. Currently, Kyb and his team are developing a 20MW solar farm in Uganda, which is about more than power, it’s about possibility.
He finds beauty in his work and is passionate about improving the lives of millions. He lives by a saying his father passed on to him, “measure twice, cut once”, and has applied that saying to his communication style. Listening allows him to gather the right information early, setting the stage for smarter, more strategic conversations later. This has led to effective communication and Kyb building strong relationships.
