Program & Leadership Assistant
Ralph Calendar is a Program and Leadership Assistant with MILPA. A proud Indigenous Chicano with Purepecha roots in Michoacan, Ralph grew up in the east bay area city of Fremont, California. After his return from the California Youth Authority 20 years ago he dedicated his life to raising his then six year old son, Ralph Jr. Today, Ralph utilizes his own experiences as passion for helping youth navigate the juvenile justice system.
As a musician/musical artist, he has completed three positive and culturally relevant songs and music videos with MILPA. In addition to organizing activities and facilitating circles, Ralph is working on developing positive music to engage and inspire youth. In his free time, he attends college pursuing his associates degree in philosophy and enjoys raising his four year old daughter. Ralph is also a proud grandfather to one grandson.
