Veronica “Ronnie” Miramontes, is the Finance and Policy Manager II at MILPA. She lives on the traditional lands of the Ohlone Costanoan people. Her family's history, rooted in Jalisco ranchero and farming, guides her values of migration, culture and identity. A first-generation graduate, she holds a B.A. in Human Communications from CSU, Monterey Bay with a double concentration on social action and media studies. 

A mother and longtime provider, Ronnie is also Monterey’s first elected Latina official, serving as a School Board Trustee. She represents a majority-Latino student body and influences statewide education policy as a Delegate Assembly member. With 12 years of nonprofit and restorative practice, she is passionately committed to equity and representation, grounded in unfolding her indigenous heritage and uplifting her community connections.
